Our story

An old-fashioned bakery, the way it should be.

Mr Bun The Baker has been part of Church Stretton life for the best part of sixty years — a family trade passed down three generations. The bread, cakes and pastries you see in the window are all baked here on Sandford Avenue, the same morning you buy them.

Step inside the sage-green shopfront and you'll find a glass counter stacked with fresh loaves, sausage rolls, iced buns and traybakes, and a warm little café where regulars settle in over a pot of tea.

Beyond the counter is a friendly café serving teas, coffees, sandwiches, light meals and, of course, cake. It's the kind of spot where the staff know the regulars and there's always a table by the window.
